LOCAL CHARITIES SHARE WITH STUDENTS. To begin the unit, we spent time learning about the different charities in our community and how they work to "Make a Difference" in the lives of others. Students contacted representatives from different organizations to come speak to us about the work they do. Presenters brought  pictures, statistics and stories to help the students understand why their charity is important to people or animals.  Below are a few of the many charities that took the time to come talk to our students.
