Cedric, Persuasive Paper written to KFRX

Dear Matt and Lindsay of KFRX,

At Scott Middle School in 6th grade A pod we are doing a Make a Difference Fair. This is very important, we have students researching all sorts of topics and learning how WE can make a difference. The 6A students are writing to everyone from newspapers, radio stations, television, churches, parents, neighbors, and more. This is very special we have all researched our topic and can give you reasons why you should help and why this is important.

I think you should talk on your radio show about our Make a Difference Fair, because it would make citizens of Lincoln think of others. For example I’ve researched African Poverty, and we would be able to help a whole other continent, which would make people think anything is possible.

You should talk about this on your show because it will gain great popularity therefore helping our organizations. Many people listen to your show in the morning on their way to work, the more people we can get to hear about the better chance we have to help others. Also people will listen to you guys because you give out a lot of the information in the mornings, and this is BIG news.

One act of kindness leads to the next, which helps everybody even more.

For an example I’m doing African Poverty, that’s a long way away from here. But, if someone here were to hear that, they would maybe just help someone on the streets in Lincoln, but it changed a life. That’s the idea. My classmates are doing many more subjects, child abuse, cancer support, animal abuse, they’re all doing their part, maybe you could do yours by helping.

You may say you don’t have the time for me to come talk on your radio show, but only 5 minutes of your time, could help a lot of people. Just 5 minutes. If there are other important things to announce, that’s great. But, we are helping multiple causes, this could change the city, country, continent, and possibly the WORLD.

I’m hoping you’ve read this letter all the way through and thought of it. This really will make a difference. Just 5 MINUTES could change HUNDREDS of lives. Just 5 DOLLARS could change HUNDREDS of lives.

Sincerely,

Cedric
