Hannah, Letter to Friends

Dear Friends,

Have you ever wondered how to even begin to make a difference for your community? Well here’s a start, visit Scott Middle School’s 6A Make A Difference Fair and donate to not just one but many organizations that help those in need. Scott Middle School 6A students are trying to make a difference. By attending our Make a Difference Fair you can educate yourself about the needs of people and animals in Lincoln and donate money to organizations you care about.

Our Make A Difference Fair educates about many different causes and the organizations that support them. You, donating a couple dollars or even a couple cents, is a beginning to our project that can help many.  Learn about how many cats and dogs get abused everyday or the billions that are suffering from cancer and other diseases and donate money to help. There are many ways you can help, but first, you must take the step to make a difference.

Our Make a Difference Fair donates to many that need money in order to live or find a cure. Imagine waking up everyday knowing that your chances of living a couple more years is not likely and knowing your family is grieving for you every step of the way but can’t do anything about it. Help these people find a cure. Hundreds of children live in poverty all around the world. Think of what that would be like; never feeling normal or knowing you’ll never get that trip to the zoo or those happy nights of Christmas gifts in December. But, you can help those children get through the trauma by donating a few dollars. Just know that by participating in our Make a Difference Fair, you’re making a big difference to someone in the world.

You could say you can’t come and  that you have something more important, but think about this, the money you donate will be used for a good cause, either helping find a cure for cancer or, maybe to buy some food for the ones in Africa. Most nights you go to bed care free, not worrying about a certain thing. Well patients with cancer suffer daily not knowing if they will see the sun rise or even smell coffee.  I you donate just a  couple dollars you could be that person that helps find the cure to save millions.

Now you know my reasons, as to why you need to consider coming to the 6A Make a Difference fair, and donate to the many with needs and diseases. I, and the others involved in the Make a Difference Fair, hope that you will take the time to mark this important event in your calendar, and come on February 28th, to the 6A Make a Difference Fair, It’s time for YOU to make a difference in this world, before I close let me share a quote that inspired me to make a change to the lives of many, “We all have ability. The difference is how we use it.” - Stevie Wonder
